Maharashtra Bhugolshastra Parishad is a professional organization dedicated to development of Geography. The Parishad has been established in 1984 and has started its journal since 1985. The Journal i.e. Peer Reviewed International Research Journal of Geography Maharashtra Bhugolshastra Sansodhan Patrika is a recognized International level Journal with International Standard Series Number ISSN 0971-6785.

Its multilingual nature has given opportunity to publish research papers in the vernacular languages promoting local and regional studies. The organization has so far conducted 41 annual conferences, more than 100 workshops / seminars / training courses etc. Recently MBP’s Journal of Peer Reviewed International Research Journal of Geography Maharshtra Bhugolshastra Sanshodhan Patrika got Impact Factor 4. 567 Renew (IIFS).
